Walkin my talk...


So... if my HR head had gone on leave... Id probably think good riddance ... lets party.. etc...but no one @ Bloomberg TV India seems 2 be doing that.... I’ve been on leave for a week now...people are choosing 2 call , choosing 2 stay connected #deep bonds? help or hinder # productivity? Fine line between firm, fair objective viz feared,controlled, stagnant... I'm renowned 4 my no-nonsense stance...firmly advocate openness and transparancy yet cognisant of the need for discretion when required.
I believe that consistency in action displayed over a period of time has helped build considerable equity in the system...which in turn helps to maintain equilibrium during the bouts of dynamic change which are part & parcel of life in the media....
Also I am invested enough, committed enough 2 stay connected & available... this goes beyond a regular 9-5 engagement and really is what we seek to inculcate in all our top and mid level performers (at the very least).
So the question Im asking myself right now is have we managed 2 achieve that connect/ level of engagement ?

This isn’t about power, it isn’t about money... its about feeling connected to a team , buying into / believing in Leadership goals and vision, believing in tomorrow and pushing through / doing whatever it takes to carry our organisation forward.

There are scarce few
Who  claim to be similarly aligned...
What a waste then of passion and time...
Perhaps its time 2 Re- think? Re-fine?
